She also clarified Trump’s comments on Putin the day before, in which Trump called Putin a stronger leader than Obama in his country.

When King asked about reports that USA intelligence agencies are investigating whether Russian Federation is trying to disrupt the election through cyberattacks, Trump said that he’s skeptical. A peculiar, miniature version of the US campaign has appeared recently on Moscow’s streets, with pro-Kremlin state-funded activist groups demonstrating to praise Trump and aggressively criticizing Clinton, who they paint as a warmonger and a liar. “If he says great things about me, I’m going to say great things about him”, Trump said.

The interview was striking given that Trump spent Thursday on the defensive over some of his laudatory comments about Russian President Vladimir Putin. She said Trump’s statements are “more evidence that he is temperamentally unfit and totally unqualified to be commander in chief”.

Then on Thursday, Trump appeared on RT, a network operated by the Russian government, to slam American media and US foreign policy and dismiss as “unlikely” the idea that the Russian government was involved in hacking the DNC’s email as American intelligence agencies believe.

Obama said, “As far as Mr. Trump, I think I have already offered my opinion”.
