Donald Trump: ‘I Will Always Tell You the Truth’

Republican pollster Kellyanne Conway filled the campaign manager position left vacant since Trump fired his former campaign chief nearly two months ago.

In an effort to save his flagging presidential candidacy, and two days after shaking up his campaign, Donald Trump expressed “regret” for sometimes saying the wrong thing and causing “pain”.

Clinton faired only slightly better – just 31% of registered voters said she would be “good or great”, while 45% said she would be “poor or bad”, and 22% said she would be “average“. But Trump refused to be managed.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump participates in a roundtable discussion on national security in his offices in Trump Tower in New York, Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016.

“Hillary Clinton owns President Obama’s Iran policy”, Trump said. In the past week, he has abandoned his free-wheeling style of campaigning, instead using a teleprompter at every rally.

Trump told the North Carolina audience that his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton “has proven to be one of the greatest liars of all time”.

In a statement, the collective said the hope is that Trump “is never installed in the most powerful political and military position in the world”.

“I think he’s a lovely guy, a lovely guy”, Trump said of Rafael Cruz. “While sometimes I can be too honest, Hillary Clinton is the exact opposite”, Trump said. “He can hire and fire anybody he wants from his campaign”. The Clinton campaign has declined to disclose how many people it employs here.

Key outside groups supporting Clinton say that they too plan to stick to the strategies they’ve had in place for months.

A spokesman for Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says there are no scheduling announcements but there are certain to be “lots of political messaging ideas” raised in coming months.

Trump’s campaign reportedly began placing television advertising Thursday in North Carolina, as well as Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida – three other swing states, the website Politico reported. But, he added, “our first responders will be ready”.

“I loved the tone”, said Annette Fitch, 55, a customer service representative who was at the speech. “They’re prepared for the antics”.

Trump’s campaign declined to comment on the statues. We will be responsive.

But these amounts pale in comparison to the $31 million the pro-Clinton super PAC Priorities USA has spent on air since mid-June. “If it’s possible for Trump to get more offensive and unhinged and disgusting, I’m sure he will” but that is all “ammunition” for Priorities to turn attacks back around on Trump.

The poll also found that Clinton supporters have a more upbeat view of life in America than Trump supporters do. About one in five Clinton’s supporters think life has gotten worse and another 18 percent see little change. But a news release from Bell Thursday said that “the North Carolina team has acquired new field operatives and will shortly announce the opening of campaign offices across North Carolina”. Additional senior hires are expected soon. Tim Kaine acknowledged he had “feelings of disappointment” in 2002 surrounding Bill Clinton’s sexual misconduct, reports KCRG.

Rarely do presidential campaigns wait so long to advertise, or undergo such a level of leadership tumult at such a stage of the general election.
