Donald Trump leads in Florida, tied with Kasich in Ohio Polls
“Your governor is totally overrated”.

Kasich is looking to win his home state and thwart Trump’s progress toward securing the 1,237 delegates a candidate needs to win the nomination. “We don’t know how close this is going to be, but if it’s close and it comes down to a few hundred votes, they could be coming from our neighbors, from our friends, from our family members”.
Donald Trump leads the Republican presidential field in the March 15 primary states of Florida and IL, while John Kasich holds the edge in his home state of OH, according to three new NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist polls.
“If we win OH and we win Florida, then everybody agrees … it’s pretty much over”, Trump told an afternoon rally in Tampa, Florida. The Democrats also have a high-profile race for the nomination to challenge Sen.
An outbreak of clashes between Trump supporters and protesters that forced him to cancel a rally in Chicago last Friday, and scattered protests at some of his campaign events this week have prompted more concerns from mainstream party figures.
But Bill Schultz, 54, of Champaign, said he attended the rally in part to counter the increased visibility of anti-Trump demonstrators.
But he said the repercussions of Trump’s rise will haunt those involved in 2016’s race. “Is there anything about Donald Trump that reminds you of Ronald Reagan?” On Sunday, the businessman suggested that he might cover the legal fees for a supporter who punched a protester.
The former MA governor, who lost the 2012 presidential election to President Obama, will join Kasich at two OH events Monday: an afternoon town hall in North Canton and an evening rally in Kasich’s hometown of Westerville, Kasich’s campaign said.
Rubio’s unorthodox strategy – which the Kasich campaign has rebuffed – is born out of the bleak delegate math before both candidates. His calls months ago to deport millions of people who are in the country illegally and to put a temporary ban on Muslims visiting the United States are often cited by the protesters as reasons to organise and disrupt his rallies.
Rubio, despite having the backing of numerous Republican elected officials, appears to have slipped in recent public polls in Florida.
“At some point, somebody in the Republican Party’s going to have to step up and show some leadership”, Earnest said.
In Illinois where 69 delegates are at stake in winner-take-all primary, Trump is leading ahead of Cruz.
“If we nominate someone who one-third of our party hates, we lose”, said Rubio, who promptly came under fire from the frontrunner.
Trump’s contentious campaign has been marked by harsh rhetoric against illegal Mexican immigrants and Muslims.
“If Kasich and Rubio had dropped out already, we would be beating Donald Trump right now in both Florida and Ohio”, Cruz insisted on NBC’s Meet the Press.

“They have no path whatsoever to winning the Republican nomination”. The job of a true leader is not to … make people more angry so they vote for me instead of someone else.
