Yet again, it is Donald Trump topping the list of candidates from the Republicans, says latest poll by CNN/ORC.

Mr. Bush the younger, once seen as a front runner with the fund raising wherewithal to carry him to a GOP nomination next Summer, is in free fall, with just 3% of the Republican electorate supporting him. All other Republican presidential candidates received support of less than 5 percent from GOP voters.

Cruz had the biggest gain, up 12 points.

Data composed by CNN also shows the bombastic real estate mogul is up an impressive nine points over the last month, as his advantage of connecting with GOP voters on issues they deem as most important continues to pay dividends.

CNN Political Director David Chalian says “What’s going on is total Donald Trump dominance over the Republican field”. But, the new poll found Trump with his widest lead and broadest support in any national telephone poll since June, when Trump announced his candidacy. He also enjoys massive margins over his rivals as the candidate trusted most for handling the economy (Trump 55% is 46 points above his nearest competitor), the federal budget (51% which is up 41 points) illegal immigration ( 48% which is up 34 points) ISIS (46%, up 31 points) and foreign policy ( 30%, up 13 points).

Trump, who was at 24 percent one month ago, has topped almost all Republican polls since July. “You have a regular season, and you can go undefeated in the regular season, but once the playoffs begin, the rules change, the game changes”.

Furthermore, 52 percent of voters bet on Trump to win the next general election. Interviews were conducted with 930 registered voters, including 445 who are Republicans or independents who lean toward the Republican Party.

But it’s the leanings of independent voters picking between Clinton and five of the top Republican candidates that could be sending alarm bells ringing through Clinton campaign headquarters.
