Trump had promised during the campaign that he would renew the investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server to send and receive work-related emails while she was at the State Department and her subsequent decision to delete roughly 30,000 emails she said were “personal” in nature. Chants of “Lock her up” were common at Trump rallies.

Clinton responded: “It’s just awfully good that someone with the temperament of Donald Trump is not in charge of the law in our country”.

Asked about investigations in that interview, he said, “I’m going to think about it”.

“I’m going to think about it”, he said. I feel that I want to focus on jobs, I want to focus on health care, I want to focus on the border and immigration and doing a really great immigration bill.

A lot of complaining and wishing things were different isn’t constructive, especially when some people think they can destroy property because they don’t like the results of the election.

Conway spoke about the decision Tuesday on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, report the Washington Post, the New York Times and CNN. The president-elect frequently refers to the paper as “failing”.

Conway is senior adviser to the transition team. Trump wrote in a second post. The issue gained momentum after three of his business partners from India held a meeting with him in NY and tweeted a series of pictures of it. “In the meantime they continue to cover me inaccurately and with a nasty tone!”

His spokeswoman, Hope Hicks, later told reporters: “The meeting is taking place as planned”.

Conway indicated Trump would frown on that. He’s the president elect.

The president-elect already paid a $2,500 fine this year for using the Trump Foundation to gift $25,000 to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, who decided not to pursue charges against Trump and Trump University a short time later.

But now that he actually will be president, Trump says he won’t recommend prosecution of Clinton, who he told New York Times reporters has “suffered greatly”.

Days before the election Mr Comey announced the new investigation had found no criminal activity, but Mrs Clinton said that by then the damage had been done.

As a presidential candidate, Trump was quick to bristle at unflattering news coverage, even as he remained accessible to certain reporters, including several from the Times.

The Times said Trump is the one who had changed the rules.

In a sign of another battle with the media to come, Mr Trump also shrugged off the need for a constant press pool covering him, the people said, though he did not delve into specifics. And Hillary Clinton can be named president-elect on December 19th!

He met representatives of the television networks privately on Monday.

The US president-elect released a short video about his plans for his administration, which included the intention to quit the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).

Much of that lead was generated by California, where Clinton had 3.7 million more votes than Trump in the last totals reported in the state on Tuesday evening.
