Donald Trump: ‘Of course,’ I renounce all white supremacist support
However, when CNN’s Jake Tapper asked him in a TV interview Sunday whether he would disavow Duke and white supremacist groups, Trump replied, “I don’t know anything about David Duke, OK?”

On Thursday, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) called on Trump to repudiate the support of Duke and other white supremacist groups. Throughout the interview, Trump continued to insist that he didn’t know anything about David Duke or white supremacy.
To Matt Lauer, “I have no problem disavowing groups but I’d at least like to know who they are”.
“I don’t know… did he endorse me?”
He said “I’ve heard from people all over America saying that CNN, David Duke, all day long”.
“Yes, he blames this one on the earpiece, though I think he should take some responsibility for the mouthpiece”, Colbert said.
Despite regularly condemning Trump’s inflammatory rhetoric throughout the campaign, Earnest declined to reveal whether it is the White House or President Obama’s view that Trump is racist. Trump, on NBC’s “Today” show on Monday, blamed a “very bad earpiece” provided by CNN for having trouble understanding precisely what Tapper had asked him.
Barrett said Duke was not at all dissauded by Trump’s disavowal and subsequent indecision.
Trump is receiving criticism from members of the Republican party citing his failure to immediately distance himself from Duke.
“The media does this as a way to defame me”, Duke exclaimed angrily. Although Trump did disavow Duke during a press conference on February 26, he failed to do the same thing when talking to Tapper.
“I have to look at the group. I understand that some other people said he didn’t do it loud enough or whatever”.
“Trump needs to know [David Duke] before condemning [him]or the KKK”. And Trump responded, ‘I have to look into these groups.

Mr. Duke also expanded on his support of Mr. Trump in a Facebook post over the weekend. Despite Trump’s repeated refusals, Romney has pushed the former reality-television star to release his tax returns, alleging a possible “bombshell” contained within them.
