“I like Paul, but these are frightful times for our country”, Trump told the Post.
“Certainly with her as an opponent, the guy would have a path to do it”, he said, but, “it’s just been one ridiculous thing after another”. “What I told the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which he said was truthful, is consistent with what I have said publicly”. “We’re going to do some great ads, but we haven’t advertised yet and she’s spending well over $100 million as I understand it”.

Republicans are concerned that Trump could lose not just his White House bid, but also cost them their control of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
On Friday, Clinton attributed the confusion to miscommunication.
“I want Trump to feel the blame for this loss”, said an Iowa Republican. “We are out of the ditch that we were in and now we’ve got to do even more”. “We’ve got to get things done”.
The Democratic nominee for president noted minorities were especially hurt by the financial crisis. The focus remained on the validity of the American dream that was still very much achievable considering the fact that the first black president in the history of the country could potentially be succeeded by it’s first female president.

The Republican national convention (RNC) was the personification of all that is Trump and his strategy.
In his speech, Trump doubled down on his criticism of Clinton – calling the former secretary of state “unstable”, “unbalanced” and “unhinged”.
Looming over Clinton’s appearance in front of a ballroom full of journalists Friday in Washington, D.C., was her relative lack of interactions with reporters.

In reviewing the details, a top poverty expert – Ron Haskins of the Brookings Institution – says what we could have here is the start of major, highly needed reform that Democrats could also embrace with some of their ideas thrown in. “Clinton knows the actions she has taken are disqualifying for someone wishing to become commander-in-chief, and that is why today’s painful, pretzel-like response to a simple question about her illegal server was obvious to everyone watching”. Three of those five went for Romney last cycle, when he lost the vote by 7 points.
