Donald Trump on Colin Kaepernick: Find another country
Kaepernick later said he would continue to sit through the National Anthem at games until he feels that there is “significant change” and that the American flag “represents what it’s supposed to represent”.

He fully understands the avalanche of criticism descending on him, but Kaepernick isn’t backing down from his original statement to the NFL Network’s Steve Wyche, saying: “I’m not going to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color”.
If Colin Kaepernick is on the 49ers roster for Week 1 of the regular season, the lead producer for Monday Night Football on ESPN said the quarterback’s refusal to stand for the national anthem will be a part of the telecast.
In an op-ed for the Washington Post, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar referenced U.S. pole vaulter Sam Kendricks at the Rio Olympics When he heard the national anthem playing, Kendricks, who is a 2nd lieutenant in the Army Reserve, stopped running, put down his pole and stood at attention. “He’s within his rights and he’s telling the truth as he sees it and I am with him 100 percent”. “It isn’t fair and it isn’t true”, Halloran stated.
Unfortunately, the injuries limited Kaepernick in practice and training camp, resulting in only one appearance thus far in the preseason.
Some folks believe that Kaepernick dishonored the flag, which is a symbol of these United States of America.
The public conversations about Colin Kaepernick’s decision reflect a moment of particularly acute anxiety in post civil rights era America.
Kaepernick has protested the national anthem through three exhibitions, and it didn’t become known until Kaepernick discussed the matter with NFL Media after last Friday’s game.
The Republican presidential nominee weighed in on the San Francisco 49er’s decision to sit during The Star-Spangled Banner in a pre-game ceremony. “When we talk about John Wooten, Muhammad Ali and all of these individuals, Bill Russell these were champions for freedom, equality and justice for all human beings”.
“We’re out here playing a game, making millions of dollars. For me it’s like going back in time”. ‘There’s people being murdered unjustly and (those who shoot them) not being held accountable.
“Besides, if he feels so strongly about these issues why does he not take the money he’s going to, I was going to say earn, but I will say get, and give it to his causes”. They are trying to paint a picture that he kind of hates this country, I guess. Just because the national anthem isn’t ordinarily shown doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be shown when there are extenuating circumstances, and in this case there are certainly extenuating circumstances.
Brown said on “NFL Total Access” Monday that Kaepernick “makes all the sense in the world”.
