Donald Trump on the “Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon”
Donald Trump went on Jimmy Fallon’s show on Friday night, and he got exactly what he wanted: an easy ride. I’m honored to be in such great company!

Welcome to late night, Mr. Donald Trump.
“No”, the brash businessman said.
“Right. But how?” wondered Fallon Trump. Fallon revived his classic SNL man-in-the-mirror impressions sketch for the occasion: “Let’s be honest: Fallon’s a lightweight”, Fallon-as-Trump said, getting ahead of his critics.
As the interview drew to a close, Fallon proposed a new campaign song for Trump to consider. “The only one qualified to interview me…is me“.
The actual Trump joked about how interviewing himself is a great idea. And of course, the moment where they both agreed that Kanye Westwould make the ideal running mate (preferable to Gary Busey, naturally).
Trump said that “a lot of bad stuff” will be found in Clinton’s emails. I love people who are nice to me. “He’s fantastic”, Trump said. “He’s more of a Supreme Court justice, in my opinion”, Trump quipped. “Vice president is a serious job”. Trump’s staple answer was that he was just going to do it. Sure, these lines were for a sketch, but you know that The Donald will have no problem saying these in real life. During which, Fallon asked Trump about West’s MTV VMA announcement that he would be running for president in 2020. Fallon dressed as Trump asked the real Trump what he was doing on the campaign trail that his fellow Republican contenders are not.
Fallon asked him, playfully, if the billionaire developer had ever apologised for anything.
When Trump sat down for his interview with Fallon, the Republican presidential candidate used the opportunity to deliver a bit of a stump speech, crusading against the Iran deal and pushing for VA reform as he said the country has to “become rich again” and “great again”. “If you’re not wrong …” “I will absolutely apologize, sometime in the hopefully distant future, if I’m ever wrong”, he said.
This week, the candidate has gotten himself in hot water for comments to Rolling Stone magazine about Carly Fiorina’s face.
“What? What question did I ask?” “I feel awful about it”, he continued to laughter from the audience.
