Donald Trump predicts European Union demise
Trump broke off from the White House campaign trail for the visit to his golf resorts in Scotland at the weekend. “But you can see why they would want change”.

Referring to a host of countries now demanding their own European Union referendum, he added: “You watch, other countries will follow”.
“I want terrorists out”.
But Europe has also done a lot for its members, bringing stability, peace and prosperity along with all of those stultifying regulations, even if the ’08 global meltdown that Trump had “sort of” hoped for did hit them particularly hard. “All you have to do is look”.
On 7 December 2015, Trump called for a “total and complete shutdown” of the entry of Muslims to the United States. Smerconish questioned whether it was smart for Trump to brush off Brexit during his Scotland trip, to which Pierson tried to downplay his answer.
“It wouldn’t bother me”, replied Trump. Trump did not mention Muslims in the speech. Many appeared to have also detected the danger of Trump influencing world politics as America’s president with such limited knowledge of world affairs.
Mr. Mnuchin said Saturday the ban isn’t about religious discrimination. “It is about Muslims from countries that support terrorism”.
Besides his currency comments, Trump had praised the Brexit result as an example of people “taking their country back”.
The Guardian is the latest newspaper to find itself banned from a Donald Trump press event, joining the likes of BuzzFeed, the Washington Post and Poltico.
He did not say whether he meant to ban individuals from those countries in addition to banning all foreign Muslims, or whether the policy was a replacement for his blanket Muslim ban.
A new Washington Post/ABC News poll published Sunday put Trump down 12 points. Making Britain’s golf courses great again. Those in support or opposition to such a ban didn’t split along party lines: 34 percent of Democrats were in favor of a ban, as were 49 percent of Independents and 71 percent of Republicans.
Given what Tur said, Trump’s response was effectively gibberish.
But the exact scope of the ban is still uncertain.
Meanwhile, he told CNN that Muslims from “terror countries” may be allowed in as long as they are carefully vetted. That message doesn’t seem to have reached Donald Trump though, who jetted in to Glasgow Prestwick Airport just as news was breaking of David Cameron’s resignation. Amid the chaos of the Saturday, Trump made some comments regarding his potential ban on US entry by foreign Muslims. Mr Trump ignores all those shades of grey and stands to gain immensely over the next few months as the world’s media, leaders and markets will be obsessed with the single narrative of the United Kingdom leaving Europe. “But my inclination would be to get out, because you know, just go it alone”.
And the Brexit fits right in with Trump’s “America first” argument that each country needs to take care of itself first.
In a statement before his news conference, Trump wrote this: “Come November, the American people will have the chance to re-declare their independence”.
