Donald Trump Pulls Ahead Of Hillary Clinton In New National Poll

A majority of Americans hold an unfavorable view of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, and consider them untrustworthy, a new poll shows.

Alfonso Aguilar, president of the Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles advocacy group, said on Thursday he felt “disappointed and misled” by a fiery Trump speech in Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday that dashed the hopes of conservative Latinos that the businessman would soften his views on immigration.

“She did not lead in the polls before Clinton got that sizable lead”, Mr. Madonna said. Half of voters said they trust Ms. Clinton to do a better job tackling the issue, while 41 percent said they trust Mr. Trump more.

The one-minute ad, now airing in battleground states, shows young kids watching Donald Trump’s comments on women, guns and minorities.

Clinton’s numbers serve as a reminder that Trump’s unpopularity isn’t prohibitive, largely because Americans – and specifically registered voters – don’t much like Clinton either.

Donald Trump is gaining ground on Hillary Clinton in a new statewide Franklin & Marshall College poll. In that scenario, Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson earned 9 percent, while Green Party candidate Jill Stein bagged 4 percent. The last recipient of that dubious distinction was George HW Bush, who had 53 percent unfavorable ratings during a 1992 Washington Post-ABC News poll.

At the state level, the Marquette poll showed Gov. Scott Walker received a slight boost to his approval rating, with 43 percent of Wisconsinites saying they were pleased with Walker’s leadership. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.6 points for registered voters, and plus or minus 5.6 points for likely voters.

Clinton’s support has been sliding from a high of 44 percent in early August, just after the Democratic National Convention. I think it’s as straightforward as this: Hillary has always been, and remains, a awful candidate.
