Donald Trump: Punish women if abortions are banned
After some convoluted back-and-forth-during which Trump actually threw the question back at Matthews-he responded by claiming that there should be “some form of punishment” for women who undergo the procedure and failed to elaborate on any kind of conditional details.

Trump previously outraged many women after he took issue with tough questions at a debate from Fox News’ Megyn Kelly.
Trump’s latest controversy threatened to further erode his standing with women voters, many of whom have been offended by his use of vulgarities and insulting language to describe women during the presidential race. The others are Rick Perry, Carly Fiorina, Jeb Bush and Lindsey Graham. And in what was a clear acknowledgment of the stakes, Trump did something he has rarely done in this campaign – back away from his statement within hours.”The Republican Party has been my vehicle and not my master”, Kasich said.”That happens very frequently, and you know, what you develop with experience is how to answer that in a way that is not definitive”, Carson said.Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, speaking on behalf of Donald Trump, also made an appearance.
“For the woman?” Matthews said.
“Well, you go back to a position like they had where they would perhaps go to illegal places, but we have to ban it”, Trump actually said.
Well, I mean, you could say, I am – as you know, I’m pro-life, and I was originally pro-choice.
“As a convert to the pro-life movement, Mr. Trump sees the reality of the horror of abortion – the destruction of an innocent human life”, Dannenfelser said.
“Do you believe in punishment for abortion, yes or no, as a principal?” “Should abortion be punished?” This is against the very nature of what we are about.
Earlier in the week, police in Jupiter, Florida, charged Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski with misdemeanor battery after examining surveillance video of an incident in which a reporter said she was grabbed and shoved.
“If Congress were to pass legislation making abortion illegal and the federal courts upheld this legislation, or any state were permitted to ban abortion under state and federal law, the doctor or any other person performing this illegal act upon a woman would be held legally responsible, not the woman”.

“He’s crossing the line, he’s talking about policies that will affect the lives of women and girls in a way that is just awful and devastating”, Bucaria said. Ted Cruz fare much better among women against Clinton than Trump, with Kasich trailing Clinton by 7 and Cruz down 15 points. Trump’s path to the nomination would narrow considerably if he were to lose the state. Trump’s favorability rating among women voters generally is the worst out of all the remaining major party presidential candidates, and is on the decline. But that was not always his stance. “The worldview Donald Trump promotes is one where women should be shamed and blamed for their decisions”.
