“The president has to keep us safe economically and militarily”, stressed Palin, who rocketed to political stardom when John McCain plucked her from obscurity to be his running mate. “No more pussy footing around!” she said, to cheers from the conservative crowd in the town of Ames. Aissa Wayne said the country needs a strong and courageous leader like her father, noting that John Wayne would be offering his endorsement if he were still alive.
