Donald Trump Refuses to Debate Bernie Sanders

“I think that is who Donald Trump is, and I think the American people should be very concerned about somebody who keeps changing his mind not only on this debate, but on virtually every issue he’s been asked about”, Sanders tells Dickerson.

Months after telling Hillary Clinton the American people were “sick and exhausted of hearing about your damn emails”, the times may be a-changing for Bernie Sanders as he wages an increasingly intense campaign ahead of California’s Democratic primary.

A debate between Trump and Sanders, if it ever materializes, would be must-see TV.

An ABC spokesman said the network would donate “any profits to charities of their choice” to air the debate, according to POLITICO. “Hey, Donald Let’s have a debate about the future of America”, Sanders said. Bernie Sanders’ campaign manager Jeff Weaver this morning said a “number of networks have put forth proposals, including some that would put seven-figure amounts into charity”, per Trump’s demand.

With the increasing demand on this much-awaited Debate, Donald Trump pushed the idea during his interviews.

“I happen to like Joe a lot, but I think that would be a very, very serious blunder for the Democratic Party”, he added.

“I think that once California is over, there will
be negotiations between the two campaigns around rules and platform, and there will be an agreement”.

Technology investment company Traction and Scale’s CEO told Buzzfeed News on Friday that it would offer the donation in order to host the debate. “He is so unpredictable because he lies all the time, because he changes his mind all the time; what he said yesterday is no longer valid today”. Without the superdelegates taken into account, Clinton has a 270-delegate lead on Sanders.

Sanders responded with a statement Friday saying: “In recent days, Donald Trump has said he wants to debate, he doesn’t want to debate, he wants to debate and, now, he doesn’t want to debate”.

“So I say to Mr. Macho”, he said, “that I am open to a debate anytime, any place here in the state of California, hopefully before the June 7 primary”.

“All that I am saying is for those superdelegates who came onboard before I was even in the race, you have got the very grave responsibility to make sure that Trump does not become elected president of the United States”.

“First he said he would do it. Then he said he wouldn’t do it. Then he said he would do it. Then he said he wouldn’t do it”, Sanders said.

Well, look, a third party ran by any candidate is a complete disaster and you’re handing the White House to the Democrats, which means four or five potential U.S. Supreme Court justices that Hillary Clinton would have a chance to appoint.

Sen. Bernie Sanders still has skin in the game- but also let Chuck Todd know on Meet the Press that he wanted to see an anti Wall Street politician become Hillary Clinton's running mate
