Donald Trump relents over Paul Ryan re-election
“It’s impossible to understand what the strategy is”.

“So, in our shared mission to make America great again, I support and endorse our speaker of the House Paul Ryan”, he concluded.
U.S. Rep. Mike Coffman, R-Aurora, has become the first House Republican to expressly distance himself from Donald Trump in a campaign ad.
“I don’t believe anyone who’s a career politician anymore”, he said of Ryan.
However, Pence’s senior adviser Mike Short later said that his “non-answer” was not a signal of non-endorsement. “After 30 years of active engagement in my party, (Trump) doesn’t represent my party”.
As the infighting continued, Trump and his allies lashed out at the Democratic presidential nominee’s foreign policy record.
“We will have disagreements”, Trump said. In an interview with George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday, Trump said he had “made a lot of sacrifices”, noting that his business had created jobs, and he questioned why Ghazala Khan stood by silently (she later said she still finds it painful to talk about her son’s death).
But since the conventions, Trump has feuded with the parents of a fallen Muslim American soldier and taken shots at other Republicans, dismaying GOP leaders, officials and candidates for other offices.
“It’s distressing a couple weeks out (from the convention) to think that your party is still not 100% behind our nominee”.
Neither Ryan nor Wisconsin’s Republican governor, Scott Walker, showed up for Trump’s Green Bay event.
King is also chairman of Ryan’s congressional campaign.
“Unstable Hillary Clinton, lacks the judgment, temperament and moral character to lead this country – and I believe that so strongly”, Trump told supporters as he accused Clinton of supporting policies that he said could damage U.S. national security.
“I don’t like how he gets off track”, said Bill Devine, 65, of Bath, Maine.
Vos wrote a column in advance of a Trump rally Friday in Green Bay. Her spokesman pointed out that Trump has not said he won’t vote for Trump, making the ad “political double-speak”.
TRUMP MIGHT DRAG GOP SENATE CANDIDATES DOWN WITH HIM – Harry Enten: “Republicans in most Senate battlegrounds are running ahead of Trump in their states”.
“If he wasn’t going to vote for this bully, he would have already said so, ” Drew Godinich said.
What happened to those balloons that rained down on Donald Trump in Cleveland?
On Tuesday, President Barack Obama urged Republican leaders to withdraw their support for Trump’s candidacy, calling him “unfit to serve” as the next president.
“I think the comments are insensitive. It’s just politics”, said Van Mobley, an early Trump backer in the state, a Trump delegate in Cleveland, and the Thiensville village president. Trump also faced criticism from within his own party over comments he made about the family of a slain U.S. Army Captain.
Grothman said he wishes Trump would focus his rhetoric more on immigration, and on the critique of President Obama. I firmly doubt, however, that Trump knows what the word sincerity means.
Your response is to hope against hope that someone will convince Trump to feign rectitude for the next three months. In an interview with WTAQ radio in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Ryan reiterated the obvious point that politicians should not insult the families of service members killed in action, and even called Trump’s last week on the campaign trail a “pretty unusual run”.
“They can feel good knowing that every dollar will help Donald Trump reach his ultimate goal: attack ads against Paul Ryan”, Colbert said.
Trump will face Clinton in November’s general election.
In Wisconsin, Trump added, “She’s a monster”.

In a Florida poll, Clinton beats Trump 48 percent to 42 percent among likely Florida voters, according to the survey from Suffolk University. I didn’t know that was a thing until they did it, but it just goes to show how hard it is to bring Sanders supporters into the Democratic fold.
