Donald Trump: Russia hacking comments were ‘sarcastic’
Hours after Democrats put the first woman in history at the top of a major political party’s ticket, Donald Trump was in a news conference, publicly inviting a foreign adversary to conduct cyberespionage into Hillary Clinton’s email. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press”, Trump said.

Glass ceiling: Hillary Clinton.
When asked in a follow-up interview he believed Trump had actually violated the Logan Act – which would be a felony – he said it should be investigated. “Now, if Russian Federation or China or any other country has those e-mails, I mean, to be honest with you, I’d love to see them”. It drew comparison with the film The Manchurian Candidate, in which an American beocmes an unwitting puppet of a foreign power.
Trump on Wednesday said he does not know Putin personally despite previously remarking the pair have met.
He added: “Number one he doesn’t like him and number two he doesn’t respect him. I think he’s going to respect your president if I’m elected and I think he’ll like me”. The leaked WikiLeaks emails exposed memos by Democratic National Committee staffers, scheming to sabotage Bernie Sander’s campaign – all signs analysts say point to the Kremlin.
Trump protested a lack of mentions about Islamic State terrorists, little talk about police officers getting killed, and a paucity of American flags at the Democratic convention in Philadelphia; he criticized Mrs. Clinton for a “lack of loyalty” to ousted party Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and claimed the Democrats offered no new ideas to lead the country. “They probably have her 33,000 emails that she lost and deleted”.
Russian Federation has brushed aside suggestions it was involved.
After Panetta’s comments to the Democratic convention, senior Trump advisor Stephen Miller accused the former Central Intelligence Agency chief of excusing Clinton’s use of the private email system, saying it enabled foreign espionage and that Panetta “should know how many lives she put at risk”. Both Russia and Trump deny the allegation.
Trump cast doubt on whether Russian Federation was behind that hack. “It’s disgraceful”, Trump said.
Democrats – and some Republicans – quickly condemned the remarks by the Republican presidential standard-bearer. “It’s honestly nearly treasonous”.
The uproar over Donald Trump’s latest comments is a classic case of media-generated outrage.
Trump also suggested that Clinton should not receive any security briefings due to the hack that would ensure “that word will get out”.
In Moscow on Wednesday, Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said Russian Federation would never interfere in another country’s election. “You take look at what was said on those emails, it’s disgraceful”.
Donald Trump attracted a lot of attention of the negative variety with a statement during his press conference in Miami yesterday.
“In fact, I saw her (Hillary Clinton’s) campaign manager – I don’t know his title, Mook”.

Supporters reach out for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump during a campaign rally, July 27, 2016, in Toledo, Ohio. She handed over thousands of emails in 2015 to us officials probing that system, but did not release about 30,000 emails she said were personal and not work-related.
