Donald Trump’s African-American Supporters Are Unapologetic
The hope among optimistic Republicans in 2016 was that a white Democratic nominee would not be able to count on that level of support. If Hillary Clinton’s goal was to inflict pain to the African-American community, she could not have done a better job.

There’s no reason to think that Trump’s suggestion that black Americans had “nothing to lose” because they “are living in poverty” will do anything to reverse that trend.
Trump made that prediction Friday night. On Saturday, he focused on Latino voters.
Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, a black radio host who founded the nonprofit Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny, or BOND, believes it’s the beginning of something bigger for Trump.
During the meeting Trump also suggested he was interested in figuring out a “humane and efficient” manner to deal with immigrants in the country illegally, according to BuzzFeed.
Most polls show Trump trailing Clinton significantly among black voters.
On his second visit to MI in two weeks, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Friday blasted Democratic policies he said have destroyed Detroit and other urban centers and called for African Americans to support him, saying blacks can not expect change otherwise.
What he is saying Marjorie that Democrats claimed to want to help the African-American community and they haven’t.
To be sure, 93 percent of African-Americans said they thought Obama was doing a good job after his reelection in 2012. The village was 92.7% white and 0.7% African American in the 2010 census.
“You’re living in poverty, your schools are no good, you have no jobs, 58 per cent of your youth is unemployed – what the hell do you have to lose?” What the hell do you have to lose?.
Trump says he’s confident he’ll win them over, noting, “At the end of 4 years, I guarantee you that I will get over 95% of the African American vote”. The Democrats will not produce and all they’ve done is taken advantage of your vote. “He’s got to be in those areas regularly because when people really start paying attention to the election after Labor Day, those are the states where voters will want to know if he’s been there speaking to the issues that black Americans face”.
And on Friday the Los Angeles Times/USC Dornsife poll had Trump at 14.6 among African-Americans, his best numbers yet.
“I have no doubt in my mind that he’s going to draw more black people than any other Republican has ever done in recent times”, Peterson said.
When a TV anchor gently enquires as to why Trump isn’t speaking to black audiences about black issues, the reply is: “Ok, maybe it would have been nice if he went and had a backdrop with a burning vehicle”.
Senior member of the Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign Marlon Marshall responded to Trump saying it could not be clearer how much African Americans have to lose under the 70-year-old billionaire tycoon.

“This is a man who questions the citizenship of the first African-American president, has a disturbing pattern of courting white supremacists, and has been sued for housing discrimination against communities of color”, Marshall said.
