Donald Trump is restructuring his campaign – again.
“I think people want him to be authentic”, Spicer said.
Later Tuesday, Trump named Stephen Bannon, executive chairman of Breitbart News, his campaign’s chief executive. The conservative Breitbart figure has been a cheerleader for Trump’s campaign for months and was critical of Republican leaders, including Ryan.
Steve Bannon attends the “Sweetwater” Premiere during the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, Jan. 24, 2013, in Park City, Utah. “I think these are both terrific choices and I’m delighted that he’s bringing them in”. Mr Lewandowski was charged with battery but the charge was later dropped. Fields and other Breitbart employees said that senior staff, including Bannon, sided with the Trump campaign and effectively threw their own reporter under the bus. “Kellyanne Conway, a veteran Republican pollster who has been close to Trump for years, will assume the role of campaign manager”. Pollster Kellyanne Conway was promoted to campaign manager. She has also performed polls for Trump’s running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence.
Their additions are an expansion, said Conway, and more additions are coming.
Clinton is leading Trump 47.3 per cent to 41.2 per cent, according to the Real Clear Politics polling average.
The shake-up comes as Trump faces criticism from many Republicans over a series of controversial statements and opinion polls show him falling behind Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in the race for the November 8 election.
Recently, Trump released a well-received list of 11 potential Supreme Court nominees – a list pro-life groups hailed for having strong supporters of the Constitution.
He said she has a “heart of sympathy”.
The addition of Bannon and Conway will minimize the role played by Paul Manafort, who has led the campaign since Lewandowski was sacked.
Trump needed a chief aide he can trust and perceives as valuable, said Barry Bennett, a former Trump senior advisor who still supports the nominee, who said Trump seemed to be avoiding Manafort’s advice as he stumbled into recent controversies.
Trump is surrounding himself with ruthless “hatchet men” like Bannon, Roger Stone and Roger Ailes, who will destroy anyone who gets in their way, Beck warned. Party loyalists have grown increasingly frustrated with Trump’s inability to stay focused on Democrat Hillary Clinton amid a series of self-created distractions. “That’s it. Pure and simple”, a source familiar with the tensions told CNN, adding that Trump’s gaffes and controversial statements in recent weeks have been fueled in part by his “exasperation” with the campaign’s management.
Clinton is campaigning and fundraising in OH, a key battleground state.
The campaign’s spokeswoman, Hope Hicks, confirmed the buys will be in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, North Carolina and Virginia.
Manafort drew unwelcome attention to the campaign this week when the New York Times reported that Manafort’s name was on secret ledgers showing cash payments designated to him of more than $12 million from a Ukrainian political party with close ties to Russian Federation.

Advisers to Donald Trump are encouraging the GOP candidate to press for more surveillance and more information-sharing with local police departments to fight terror threats if he’s elected president. He also stressed the campaign’s commitment to boosting wages and providing more support to workers.
