Donald Trump’s challenge in touring Louisiana flooding: showing concern, not opportunism
The hope is that Trump can avoid the missteps that have defined his campaign since the end of the conventions, including a public feud with an American Muslim family whose son was killed while serving in the military in Iraq. For now, Trump finds himself behind Clinton in preference polls in almost every battleground state.

The launch of Trump’s first television ad comes amid a solid lead in the polls for Clinton, who is now ahead by about six points, according to Real Clear Politics’ poll averages.
Republicans are concerned that Trump’s deficit and insistence that the campaign’s dedication to “let Trump be Trump” will not only lose the election to Clinton but will also threaten their congressional majority this November.
The ad is running in Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio and North Carolina.
What else will happen there, according to the ad?
At this critical moment, both the Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton campaigns are not spending any money in television advertising here in the commonwealth.
Democratic presidential candidate former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton speaks during a “get out the vote” event at Nashua Community College on February 2, 2016 in Nashua, New Hampshire.
Donald Trump on Friday put out his first national TV advertisement for the election, attacking Hillary Clinton on multiple fronts.
“Donald Trump never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity”, said Whit Ayres, a GOP pollster who worked for Florida Sen. Some sources inside the Trump camp say Manafort was pushed aside so Steven Bannon, a conservative media executive, would take over. Clinton campaigned in OH and Pennsylvania this past week, and the Democratic nominee’s voter registration efforts and policy pitches went largely unnoticed as Trump shook up his campaign staff.
While the ad marks the first for Trump’s general election bid, Clinton has released several targeting the billionaire businessman in recent weeks. If Clinton is still riding high as we move through September, she will start racking up votes, not just favorable news cycles.

The presidential election has yet to reach Labor Day, but Republicans are already testing out the possibility of admitting White House defeat to their supporters.
