The Republican candidate and his daughter Ivanka flew to Dubai past year and drove miles outside the city to a stretch of the desert that will be the site of Trump International Golf Club Dubai, which he declared will become one of the best golf courses in the world. That said, “but then you have a different cohort of people, who may make a political statement by not gracing Trump’s properties with their presence”. This summer, the Professional Golfers Association of America canceled its Grand Slam of Golf tournament at Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles, following Trump’s statement that Mexican immigrants were bringing crime and drugs into the United States and committing rape.
Late Thursday, Bulent Kural, the general manager of Trump Towers in Istanbul, said his company “regrets and condemns” Trump’s call to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. The towers are another project for which Trump licensed his brand.
Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is rejecting GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump’s views on Muslims. A New York Times, CBS poll said Thursday (Dec 10) that Trump’s support among Republican primary voters has gained 13 points to 35 per cent, his highest level yet.
Earlier this week, Dubai-based Landmark Group pulled all Trump home decor products at its 180 Lifestyle stores over his comments.
DAMAC drew a distinction between its partner’s business and political interests, but declined to say explicitly whether it was reconsidering the partnership.
Others from the Middle East business community have also expressed dismay with Trump’s remarks.
Secretary of State John Kerry had this to say: “I would simply say that nondiscrimination and equal treatment are a pillar of not just American values but of our immigration and our admission policies in this country”. “What somebody like a Trump is trying to do is to divide us up”, Sanders said.
“The people with whom I’ve spoken are offended, and their concern is calibrated to the degree they think Mr. Trump might be elected president”, he said. We have no idea if they love us or hate us. His comments have sparked outrage worldwide after he urged a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims” entering his country. We have no idea if they want to bomb us. Trump has called the Muslim Sajwani a “good friend” and a “great man”, among other accolades.
