Donald Trump’s press conference proves he’ll never be presidential
Here’s how his first briefing as president measured up to Barack Obama’s on February 9, 2009.

Trump’s first month as president has been rocky and unpredictable.
Trump: 3,547 words. Obama: 1,196 words.
Of course, Trump wasn’t always so down on leaks. Obama’s was right at an hour. Trump lambasted the media and denied ties to Russian Federation.
The Kremlin has told state-sponsored media outlets to pull back in its positive coverage of President Donald Trump, Bloomberg reported on Thursday. “Did Trump or Bannon know that Flynn was discussing sanctions with the Russian AMB?” “Flynn was speaking more in general “maybe we’ll take a look at this going forward” terms”, the report quoted an unnamed intelligence official as saying. “The level of dishonesty is out of control”, he added. Wednesday morning, House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) said that Flynn was just doing his job. “I would love to be able to get along with Russian Federation”.
“But it would be much easier for me to be so tough on Russian Federation”.
However, the Post cited “several officials” who said it was “unclear whether procedures would attempt to bring a case, in part because Flynn may parse the definition of the word ‘sanctions, ‘” and because he told the Federal Bureau of Investigation he couldn’t recall everything said during his conversation with Kislyak. He then called on another reporter. “So that’s the extent”.
He labeled the networks, as he often does, “fake news”, tweeting they are “going crazy” by reporting “conspiracy theories” and suggesting the networks have “blind hatred” toward him.
Senior Democrat Adam Schiff said Mr Flynn’s departure would not end questions about contacts between Donald Trump’s campaign and Russian Federation.
Obama imposed the new sanctions on Russian Federation on December 29 after the U.S. intelligence community’s conclusion about Moscow’s interference in the election campaign.
“I have never seen more dishonest media, frankly than the political media. What we have to do right now is deliver for the American people”.
He rarely smiled during the sixty minutes that he spoke on February 9, 2009.
Mr. Trump opened the press conference by announcing his new pick to run the Labor Department, former National Labor Relations Board member R. Alexander Acosta.
What was wrong was the way that other people, including yourselves in this room, were given that information, because that was classified information that was given illegally.
“The greatest thing I could do is shoot that ship that’s 30 miles offshore right out of the water”, he said referring to news reports that have noted the presence of a Russian naval ship in global waters off the east coast of the United States.
Trump’s message in the 77-minute session appeared aimed at the same voters who elected him president last November, a large number of whom feel Washington has left them behind and who like his image as an outsider trying to shake up the establishment.

Trump vowed to move forward next week on his stalled plans to enact “extreme vetting” measures for people coming to the US.
