Donald Trump Says He Is A “Big, Big Fan” Of Israel
“You’re not gonna support me, even though you know I’m the best thing that could ever happen to Israel, and I’ll be that”. “A lot will have to do with Israel and whether or not Israel wants to make the deal – whether or not Israel’s willing to sacrifice certain things”, Trump said. “Five months ago I was with you”, Trump said, pointing to his recent past as a much sought-after political donor who filled the campaign coffers of both Republicans and Democrats. You want to control your politicians, that’s fine.

Donald Trump gives a thumbs up during the CNBC Republican Presidential Debate at University of Colorado’s Coors Events Center on October 28, 2015.
Donald Trump said if president, he would know within six months whether or not his administration could achieve an Israeli-Palestinian peace deal.
Bush made the comment Thursday at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s candidates’ forum in Washington, D.C., in response to a question about the qualities he would look for in a secretary of state.
Marco Rubio, his closest rival in latest polls, said: “Some in our own party have actually questioned Israel’s commitment to peace They are dead wrong and they don’t understand the enduring bond between Israel and America”. “Is there anyone in this room who doesn’t renegotiate deals?” he said.
In other words, to Trump, who prides himself on deal-making, it’s simply obvious that you can’t make a deal between two people if you start off by saying one of them always gets their way no matter what.
Palestinians say the wave of violence is rooted in frustration over almost a half-century of occupation and they accuse Israel of using excessive force to suppress the unrest. “If you’re going to make a deal, you could make a great deal, you can’t go in with the attitude we’re going to shove it down your – you gotta go in and get it and do it nicely so everyone is happy”. His similar comments Wednesday evening to the Associated Press were condemned by Florida Sen. “I’d like to know what they would do”. Their path is not my path. Their path is not our path. Their path is not the path of the State of Israel, or of the Jewish People.
“I am concerned by the slow progress [of investigations] and call on the Israeli authorities to move swiftly in bringing the perpetrators of this bad crime to justice”, he added. “Good”, Trump said, noting he too was once a prolific donor. “I really was. It’s completely uncalled for”.
“If I am elected president, I have pledged on the very first day in office to rip to shreds this catastrophic Iranian nuclear deal”, he said of Obama’s landmark foreign policy achievement.
Yet his questioning of Israel’s commitment to a lasting Peace with its Palestinian neighbors could still raise eyebrows in some Republican corners.
In the last presidential race, for example, Jews voted for President Obama over Mitt Romney by 69 percent to 30 percent.
