Despite the overall disapproval of Trump’s call for a ban on Muslim immigration, the poll showed it’s unlikely to affect his standing.
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders responds to a new national NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll showing 57% of Americans oppose Donald Trump’s proposal to bar Muslims from entering the U.S. “Err, you know just no Muslims on a Friday, they’re alright on a Thursday but not a Friday”, the actor said in a mocking tone.
The prime minister’s office released a statement on Wednesday saying Netanyahu rejected Trump’s recent comments to ban Muslims from the United States.
“I have to say, Seth: I no longer think he’s amusing”, she said, to loud applause from the audience.
Her official spokeswoman told The Courier after being asked if Ms Sturgeon supported a ban: “I think the First Minister made her views on Donald Trump quite clear yesterday when she stripped him of his GlobalScot position”.
The statement comes on the heels of a mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, in which a Muslim man and his wife killed 14 people and injured 21 others in what is being described by authorities as an “act of terrorism”. “You want to control your own politician”.
The Republican presidential candidate, who has maintained a wide lead in most early polling, sparked criticism among many American Jewish people last week after speaking to a gathering of Jewish donors.
“There has been a lot of talk of Trump and his comments”, Earnest said.
“We had a major terrorist attack on USA soil a week ago yesterday… and the newscasts are dominated by this plan that’s never going to happen”.
“We have war against those who are using ideas in order to create extremism and threats toward the whole innocent people of the world”, Mr Rivlin said.
