Donald Trump reiterated many of his stances on immigration and national security, when he called into Fox News Thursday evening to discuss the Bastille Day attack in Nice, France that left at least 73 dead and over 100 injured. “We’re not going to have a society, we’re not going to have a world anymore”, Trump was quoted as saying by “Fox News”.

Multiple media outlets have reported that Trump has likely chosen Indiana Governor Mike Pence as his running mate.

She is not a fan of Trump, but said she is “being dragged along kicking and screaming” to vote for him because she thinks a Hillary Clinton presidency would be disastrous for the nation.

One AFP reporter on the scene reported hearing screams and seeing flying debris as the truck plunged into the crowd.

Thanks to a tip from Eyewitness News, WNBC captured video of Pence landing on a private jet in New Jersey Thursday evening.

Gingrich told The Associated Press he was expecting to hear from Trump one way or the other sometime after 1 p.m. The former Georgia congressman praised Trump for running a “very fair, open process” and said he looked forward to learning the businessman’s decision. But the final decision rests with the candidate, who is known for making decisions more on instinct than other factors – and for sometimes changing his mind. Pence, who is running for re-election, faces a noon Friday deadline to withdraw from the race. However, those documents have not been filed.

Pence, 57, has deep ties to evangelical Christians and other conservatives, particularly after signing a law a year ago that critics said would have allowed businesses to deny service to gay people for religious reasons.

Each of Trump’s top contenders would add significant political experience to the GOP ticket. “We are allowing people into our country who we have no idea where they are, where they’re from, who they are, they have no paperwork, they have no documentation, in many cases”, Trump said.

Beyond their political backgrounds, the finalists bring different strengths to the ticket. But the move alienated some moderates in the party.

Gingrich is something of a rabble-rouser who has spent decades in Washington.

The fight between the two men grew increasingly testy: Trump raised a false conspiracy theory that Cruz’s father was involved in the assassination of President Kennedy; tweeted an unflattering photo of Cruz’s wife comparing her with his own wife, a former model; and called Cruz’s supporters corrupt and lobbyists. He’s also become a valuable partner for Trump, joining him at events on the trail and taking on the important role of heading Trump’s transition planning.
