Donald Trump shakes up campaign staff for second time in two months

Donald Trump’s campaign shakeup and new plan to run more directly against the Washington establishment could force more defections by mainstream Republicans who are increasingly anxious about preserving their House and Senate majorities.

“August is not October, let alone November”, she said. “Hillary Clinton is running for president and Donald Trump is running for ratings”. They understand each other. He reportedly still receives royalties from reruns of the TV show “Seinfeld”, thanks to one of his previous transactions. Bannon, he said, would bring “a business-like, day-to-day leadership approach to the CEO position that’s reflective of our leader, Mr. Trump”.

Trump might have signed up Conway earlier in the primary game, but he did not want to spend money on polling when he was winning state after state. “They want to portray me as insane, unhinged, unbalanced”.

Hillary Clinton will be briefed, too.

Conway, who has her own history of inflammatory remarks, is a relatively conventional hire.

Bannon, in phone calls and meetings, has been urging Trump for months to not mount a fall campaign that makes Republican donors and officials comfortable, the aides said. Apparently, Trump often forgets that there is a much deeper side to politics than just rallying up people to his speeches and to give the media things to talk about.

Emily Jeanne Thoemke is a GOP consultant and knows numerous people who signed the letter. Her husband, George T. Conway III, a lawyer at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, was behind some of the most bitter lawsuits against Bill Clinton in the 1990s and stories that were promoted via the Drudge Report. Other staff is also expected to be brought on in the coming days.

Even before Donald Trump named the executive chairman of Breitbart News Network as his campaign chief, the conservative news site played an unusual role in the presidential election.

Conway downplayed the notion of internal dissent at campaign headquarters at Trump Tower, telling the AP the staffing changes are “an expansion at a critical time in the homestretch”. “They never discuss the real message and never show crowd size or enthusiasm”, Trump posted Sunday.

Bannon is expected to work on Trump’s stance as an outsider to American politics, something he has been antagonized for. But, aside from that major accomplishment, what else does Kellyanne have going for her? “Maybe crowds don’t make the difference”. The paradox of Trump is that he’s best when he’s being outspoken. “It’s kept her afloat”.

No surprise then, that Bannon is a supporter of Trump’s pugilistic persona and said to be fearless in taking his anti-establishment to Republican poobahs, like Senate leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan. He has basically demoted Paul Manafort, who had been in charge.

In the letter, leaders say the campaign has already failed. This afternoon, he received his first classified intelligence briefing.

“I guess I’m going to see how things pan out”, said Amalia, who is undecided. “It’s really great to have Steve here at headquarters handling all those different pieces along with Rick and with Paul”.

Bannon will temporarily step down from Breitbart News to assume the title of chief executive officer, “a new position created to bolster the businesslike approach of Mr. Trump’s campaign”, according to the statement from Trump. She was a Newt Gingrich adviser when the “Contract for America” was being put together. According to the Pew Research Center, in the 2014 midterm elections, 62 percent of Latinos voted for Democrats in congressional races. “But he is still the same man”, Mrs Clinton said.

Conway, who will now travel extensively with Trump, will help guide messaging, Manfort said.
