Donald Trump Slams Hillary Clinton Over Her Nomination Speech
Krumel, who has been helping coordinate the Clinton campaign across the Florida Panhandle, said she has gotten “thumbs-up” texts from Sanders’ supporters from all over the country indicating they are on board with Clinton. It is unlikely but possible that Mr Trump’s asymmetrical political warfare has so altered the political playing field that Democrats have just won a battle that no longer determines the outcome of the conflict. That strategy, with its slogan of “Stronger Together”, is a direct challenge to the one-man authoritarianism that was pitched at the RNC in Cleveland last week. What is so frighteningly irresponsible about Mrs. Clinton’s insertion / assertion as the Democratic Party candidate is the same problem posed by Barack Obama’s posture as a “progressive” President- it leaves the radical right as the only alternative for disaffected voters. Now, just before the 19 Amendment’s centenary, a woman stands poised to win the highest office in the land.

Hillary Clinton notes the historical importance of her nomination to a major political party. For many, the possibility of Clinton becoming the first female president is an added bonus of her candidacy – not a defining feature.
“Sometimes the people at this podium are new to the national stage”, she said.
When has America elected a woman to be its leader?
But even as the Democratic Party showed signs of unity, some sources close to Hillary and Bill Clinton privately admitted that the public show of support for the Democratic nominee by Sanders supporters would not necessarily translate into their doing any hard work getting out of the vote on her behalf. He’s retained the capacity to make us believe that America is something we can be proud of, that we live in a country that is great. “And less respect for them, period”, Clinton said.
Clinton got loud cheers for promoting a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants – And when she called to reverse the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision, which allows corporations and labor unions, among others, to spend unlimited amounts of money in a political campaign. She asked, “Senator, are you prepared to deport 11 million illegal aliens?” But if he was going to use it at all, this is the place he should have done it. Hillary has been in the arena, fighting all her life, while Trump has spent his life on the sidelines, bickering away and inventing feuds with other B-list celebrities. She also argued for a rebalancing of power in the economy, declaring, “Wall Street, corporations, and the super rich are going to start paying their fair share of taxes”. He doesn’t look at it as “they’re supporting Bernie.’ He looks at it as, and I look at it as, they’re supporting the issues that he’s run on”. She thanked Sanders for putting “economic and social justice issues front and center, where they belong”. Clinton needs to win over some of the disgruntled working class voters that form the backbone of Trump’s base.
“To our enemies, we will pursue you as only America can, you will fear us”. This amounted to defunding of public education in a community where good schools were more important than ever. “Remember, that this guy was one of the leaders of the so-called Birther Movement”.
He evoked Ronald Reagan, something that drew criticism from Clinton when they were rivals, to contrast the Republican icon’s vision of America as “shining city on a hill” with Trump’s description of the U.S.as “a divided crime scene”. She vowed to pursue comprehensive immigration reform and help open pathways to citizenship for undocumented people.
Trump’s Islamophobia was roundly rejected in both Clinton’s speech and in remarks earlier in the evening by the parents of Captain Humayun Khan, a young Muslim American man killed in the line of duty while serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq in 2004.
“We will not ban a religion”.
Trump’s campaign suggests it will make a play for MI, but his convention lineup had a odd way of showing it: Only one MI speaker, state Attorney General Bill Schuette, got a speaking slot. “I think it has something to do with her gender and that any women would suffer that”.
“I think they do realize there is so much at stake”, she said.
Some delegates also walked out on her speech.
Many of her friends from that year came to Philadelphia to see her secure the nomination.
Clinton made the case for the broadest possible coalition to secure a landslide victory against Trump.
And Clinton offered an open hand to backers of Vermont Sen.
