In a statement on his RedState website, Erickson said: “I just don’t want someone on stage who gets a hostile question from a lady and his first inclination is to imply it was hormonal”.

While political analysts have plenty to dissect from his answers to moderator Megyn Kelly, from a gossip perspective, perhaps the most interesting moment of the night was when he skirted around a direct question about his part in the ongoing “war on women”.
Hosted by Fox News on Thursday night, the 90-minute debate put former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Dr. Ben Carson, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Sen.
Trump said Friday he couldn’t recall using words such as “dog”, “fat” and “disgusting” to insult women he believes have slighted him, but such language litters his Twitter feed and other public comments he has made for years. She said actually that was a big mistake she made when she took me on.
“Only Rosie O’Donnell”, Trump said.
He began by retweeting posts calling Kelly a “loser” and a “bimbo.”Many of the tweets suggested Kelly had a personal vendetta against Trump, whom she tried to “attack” but “failed”. The Fox News correspondent pointed out that “for the record, it was well beyond Rosie O’Donnell”, to which Trump snickered back, “Yes, I’m sure it was”. Trump pointed to his lack of political correctness.
Later, Trump wrote on Twitter: “I really enjoyed the debate tonight even though the @foxnews trio, especially @megynkelly, was not very good or professional”.
After that interview was taped on Friday, Trump told CNN’s Don Lemon that Kelly’s questions were “off-base” and “ridiculous”. “Their performance was outstanding”.
He said his strategy will be to try and focus on his accomplishments and experience, both in Congress and in Columbus, rather than trying to criticize what any of the other candidates may say or do.

High ratings had been predicted for the Republican forum, partly because of interest in Mr Trump, whose reality show The Celebrity Apprentice used to draw 20 million viewers a week. The Thursday debate more than doubled the network’s previous high of 11.8 million total viewers, earned during the coverage of the 2012 presidential election.
