Donald Trump Slams ‘Unfit’ Hillary Clinton for ‘Unleashing ISIS’

Millions of Americans have tuned in to watch this month’s party conventions, with the Democratic confab ahead in the ratings – prompting Donald Trump’s Republicans to urge supporters not to watch Hillary Clinton’s landmark speech yesterday night. After her daughter Chelsea introduced her, Clinton moved to unify not just her party, but every undecided voter. “Like so much else, I got this from my mother”, Hillary said.

Mrs Clinton emphasised her point by saying the Founding Fathers designed the US Constitution so America would be a nation where no one person had all the power.

“Clinton, Trump said, is followed by “corruption and devastation” wherever she goes”. Americans don’t say “I alone can fix it”. “From my first day in office to my last!” “But we are not afraid”, she says in remarks prepared for delivery.

Her speech, which capped the party’s four-day convention in Philadelphia, also included some savage takedowns of her Republican opponent Donald Trump. She acknowledged his inspiring campaign and, more significantly, she brought up the issues he’s championed: “I want you to know, I’ve heard you”.

But addressing her image of putting policy above politics, Mrs Clinton was unrepentant.

Rather, they were acknowledging that the passionately progressive campaign that Sanders ran this year secured more than 13 million votes, won 23 primary and caucus contests, and brought nearly 1,900 delegates to the convention floor.

It’s hard to know if the higher TV ratings will have any impact on the polls, or if more people simply wanted to turn out for the speaker who has been running the abnormal campaign. Both men understand that there are a lot of people in this convention hall who would like to cheer a few more times for Bernie Sanders. “When there are no ceilings, the sky’s the limit”.

“Please explain to me what part of America First leads him to make Trump ties in China, not Colorado”.

Wall Street, corporations and the super-rich are going to start paying their fair share of taxes, she said. “Think about that”, former Central Intelligence Agency director Leon Panetta told the convention before Obama took the stage. Her forceful acceptance speech was well-focused on its target, Donald Trump, but occasionally rambling in the elaboration of its theme: “stronger together”.
