Donald Trump Solidifies Lead In CBS/NYT Poll Of Primary Voters
A new poll found that two-thirds of American voters (64%) are either concerned about or afraid of a potential Donald Trump presidency-and that almost as many (57%) are concerned about or frightened of a potential Hillary Clinton presidency. Marco Rubio was fourth with 11 percent. This is the second national poll in the last week to show Trump’s support in the mid-30s.

Every other Republican White House hopeful receives 2 percent or less among South Carolina’s likely Republican voters.
Trump leads his closest competitors – Sen. His support jumped eight points after that proposal.
Trump and Cruz are also one-two in SC, according to a survey released Thursday by Winthrop University, with the NY businessman leading the Texas senator 24%-16%.
Carson receives 75 percent favorability, followed by Rubio at 66 percent and Cruz at 59 percent. It will take place outside the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel, where Trump is scheduled to attend a meeting of the New England Police Benevolent Association before giving remarks.
This is consistent with an online Bloomberg Politics poll that found roughly two-thirds of Republican primary voters nationwide agree with the GOP candidate’s plan to ban Muslims from entering the country.
Trump’s lead in the Palmetto State is pretty much across-the-board, said Scott Huffmon, director of the Winthrop Poll. Bernie Sanders by 20 percentage points.

The poll was conducted among national registered voters, 431 of whom were Republican primary voters, from December 4-8.
