Donald Trump Speech 2016
Ivanka Trump, daughter of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, takes the stage to introduce her father Thursday at the party’s national convention.

Mathis told BuzzFeed News later that Toth apologized to him afterwards and that they had prayed together.
Later Mr Cruz was further barracked as he navigated the bowels of the arena after his speech.
Then Trump appeared on stage with his vice presidential running mate, Indiana Governor Mike Pence, to greet Pence, who had just delivered an enthusiastic speech in honor of the nominee.
As president, Trump said he would defend an ally against Russian aggression only after first ensuring that the allies have fulfilled their obligations to the U.S.
Trump tweeted late Wednesday night that he had reviewed the speech in advance and that it was “no big deal”.
Both the Trump campaign and GOP establishment figures have rebuked Cruz for his speech. On CNN, Chris Christie called the speech “awful” and “selfish”, while the network also reported that immediately after the speech, Cruz was denied entrance to the suite of Republican mega-donor Sheldon Adelson.
If you are a Ted Cruz loyalist already, what happened at Day 3 of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland probably did not surprise you. In other words, he should have known bucking this trend was hopeless.
Some Cruz supporters said Republicans are united on one thing: beating Democrat Hillary Clinton.
The other reason why his speech was basically self-immolating was because it focused way too much on grand ideas and political ethos in the midst of an election that’s become less and less about facts and policies and more and more about emotions than usual. That raised the stakes even higher for what is meant to be Trump’s triumphant turn on the stage Thursday night as he accepts the Republican nomination. What we witnessed was a political party devouring itself. “We’re going to see the beginning of a dynasty here”.
Susan Hutchison, chair of the Washington delegation, said she confronted Cruz after his speech and called him a “traitor to the party”. He’s certainly not stupid, so where did he go wrong?
This is a break from the majority of the convention that is now standing behind Trump’s platform and candidacy. It’s the hourly wage workers, most of whom have borne the brunt of 40+ plus years of no real wage growth in America.
“You have nominated a man for president who never quits”, Pence said. Ask individual delegates about Mrs Clinton and they get a glint in their eye – she’s “evil” a “liar” “dangerous”. “I think it hurt him definitely with the Republicans”, she said.
The delegates responded with angry boos, and Cruz backer and former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli escorted Heidi Cruz off the convention floor as she was heckled by Trump delegates.
Cruz’ actions drew condemnation from Republicans, who questioned whether the senator had torpedoed his political future. “Everybody knew about the pledges; they knew what that meant”, he said.
For all their rage last night, Cruz’s detractors – and there are many – probably weren’t surprised either. Mr Trump accused Mr Cruz of breaking his promise. But the polls are showing nearly no chance for that outcome right now.

Trump and his campaign minions did everything but accuse Cruz of hating puppies. “The clarity with which he talked about trade and immigration, and the sense that he alone had the power to disrupt the special interests and give government back to Americans, made clear to me that he was the leader we needed”.
