CNN reports Wednesday that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has lifted his blacklist of media outlets banned from covering his events.

Several Trump aides, including campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, had been lobbying behind the scenes for a loosening of the restrictions against the Post and other news organizations. In June, Trump revoked the Post’s press credentials, calling the newspaper unfair.
Donald Trump has reportedly ended his media blacklist, which had grown to include numerous most respected newspapers in the U.S.
Trump provided CNN with a one-sentence statement on the matter: “I figure they can’t treat me any worse!”
A campaign spokesperson confirmed the change in policy to CNN’s Brian Stelter.
In most cases, reporters from the offending outlets were still able to attend Trump rallies as members of the general public, but without the access and privileges that press credentials provide.
Among the outlets blacklisted by Trump were Buzzfeed, The Huffington Post, The Washington Post, Politico, Univision, The Des Moines Register, and The Daily Beast.
Donald Trump will tear up his media blacklist this week.

Last month, Trump’s team issued a 30-question “Mainstream Media Accountability Survey”, asking respondents to answer yes or no to questions like: “Hillary Clinton still gets a free pass from the media as she continues to lie about sending classified information on her secret server”.
