Donald Trump Takes Shots at Media on ‘Today’ Show
Multibillionaire real estate mogul and Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump – who has repeatedly boasted that he is funding his own run for the presidency – says his father gave him a “small loan” of $1 million to get him started in his career.

“My whole life really has been a “no” and I fought through it. I talk about it. It has not been easy for me”.
“It’s such a great question and I had a woman the other day say, ‘Mr”. And I had to pay him back with interest. It has not been easy for me, and, you know, I started off in Brooklyn.
Asked whether anyone outside his family had told ever him “no”, Trump said he was frequently told he wasn’t going to make it in the Manhattan real estate scene.
Trump is the only Republican set to hold an event in New Hampshire ahead of this Wednesday’s GOP debate in Colorado. He was quick to note that he paid the loan back with interest. Trump also said he’d been told that it was a lost cause to go up against “professional politicians” in his bid for the presidency but declared himself “not impressed” with the slate he’s up against.
Murphy said Trump, who continues to comfortably lead New Hampshire polls well past the point pundits predicted he’d flame out, “has an opportunity to close the deal by speaking particularly about policy”.
“All my life I was told no”, he said.
“Let me tell you about specifics”, Trump said. “That probably is going to seem pretty easy to a lot of people”. “I mean, I built one of the great organizations”.

Town hall moderator Matt Lauer pressed back on Trump’s comment, pointing out that a million dollar loan is something most Americans can only dream of – not a rags-to-riches story.
