Donald Trump targets Kasich-Cruz ‘collusion’ ahead of 5 pivotal primaries
“I’ve never told them not to vote for me”, Kasich said while campaigning in Pennsylvania. Ted Cruz on an effort to keep Trump from winning the Republican nomination outright.

Little more than a month to go before the end of primary season, there is some question as to how solid the newly formed partnership between Cruz and Kasich is.
By contrast, Cruz trumpeted the agreement during a campaign stop in Indiana Monday, saying it was “big news” that Kasich had pulled out. At a pizzeria in Greenwood, Indiana, where Cruz also stopped Monday, some voters asked him to autograph a mailer his campaign sent out before the agreement that made Kasich look soft on guns.
Gaskins said OR and New Mexico were likely handed to Kasich because, unlike the other 13 remaining GOP primaries, both states have small delegate counts – 28 and 24, respectively – that are bound proportionally to however Republicans vote and the primaries are closed.
Just as Trump insists that votes – and not delegates – are what should matter, his campaign has still convinced a handful of candidates who initially vowed to support their district’s victor in the convention to change their minds and support him no matter the outcome. Cruz says he will cede contests in OR and New Mexico to Kasich.
On the Democratic side, Bernie Sanders hinted on Tuesday that he might pick a female running mate if he rallies to a near-miracle win over front-runner Hillary Clinton.
The Trump Apocalypse Watch is a subjective daily estimate, using a scale of one to four horsemen, of how likely it is that Donald Trump will be elected president, thus triggering an apocalypse in which we all die.
Cruz, who has challenged Trump to a debate in IN, told a local radio station he will tell Hoosier State residents that a vote for Trump now amounts to a vote for Clinton in the fall.
And his whole spiel – his entire campaign – is based on the fact he’s not Trump.
Trump is expected to win all five GOP primaries being held Tuesday in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
NBC News reported last week that his team was debuting a newer, more aggressive strategy in Pennsylvania, seemingly aiming to make up for lost time in the hunt for unbound delegates after struggling to sway them away in states like Colorado and North Dakota.
Cruz, who has picked up delegate support at various state Republican conventions, found himself challenged this week by a Trump supporter in IN who protested the selection process.
“Every state sets up different rules”, Cruz replied.

Joan Connelly, a Republican from Bethesda, Md., said she voted for Kasich, despite reservations about all three candidates.
