Donald Trump: Ted Cruz is “a bit of a maniac”
Cruz’s 31 percent showing in Iowa versus Trump’s 21 percent followed a December 7 Monmouth University poll that also put the Texas senator in the lead in the state.

By Sunday evening Trump still seemed miffed at Cruz, tweeting, “I was disappointed that Ted Cruz would speak behind my back, get caught, and then deny it. Well, welcome to the wonderful world of politics!”
The competition between GOP presidential candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz heated up Sunday, with Trump calling Cruz “a bit of a maniac”.
However, Trump said the two must necessarily collide, even though Cruz has been “so fine to me”.
Both Mr Cruz and Mr Trump have been campaigning heavily in Iowa, and hope victory in the 1 February caucus will galvanise their race for the Republican nomination. Marco Rubio, at 13%, and Ben Carson, at 10%.
Cruz is emerging rapidly as the favorite in Iowa’s caucuses. Because I have a much better temperament.
U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump (R) is greeted on stage by fellow Republican candidate Ted Cruz. He also went after Cruz on social media.
“He’s been so nice to me”. Soon after the latest Iowa Poll was released, Hagle said one concern for Cruz may be taking this large of a lead with plenty of time left in the game. He said not a lot of evangelicals come out of Cuba, where Cruz’s father was born. “I mean, I can say anything, and he says ‘I agree, I agree, ‘” Trump told CNN host Jake Tapper. Further, he said that his repeated praise of Trump has been calculated to assure that when the former reality television star falters, he will collect “the lions share” of trump voters. “I don’t see his numbers going down, I see them going up”. Trump began. “Look, I don’t think he’s qualified to be president, because I don’t think he has the right temperament”.
Without a breakout performance by one of those alternatives to Trump in New Hampshire along the lines of Cruz’s in Iowa, Trump could win there and seize a “comeback narrative”-a possibility likely keeping Republican party leaders up at night”. Bet you didn’t know that!
“My judgment is great”, Trump said.

And after being accused of prejudicial language against Hispanic and Muslim people, Trump sought to shore up his credentials among African American voters by attacking justice Scalia’s controversial comments this week about black college students deserving to go to “lesser schools”. “As is often the case for a personality driven candidate, he has some supporters who will support him no matter what, but others might not do so if he starts to fade”.
