Donald Trump, Ted Cruz tangle on Twitter
“Both of them I like and respect, but I don’t believe either one of them is going to be our president”, he said.

A small and growing number of Republicans allied with the establishment – the force long thought to quickly consolidate against a surging Cruz bid – are coming to terms with the idea that he may be palatable in an election cycle where Trump has pushed the envelope well beyond what they considered acceptable.
The polls were released ahead of the upcoming Republican presidential debate on Tuesday, which will be live from Las Vegas.
Trump is aiding Cruz in three ways: by taking (until now) virtually all of the heat from the American (and indeed world) media; by preventing other potential Cruz competitors from locking in voters; and, most important, by obscuring the fact that in many cases Cruz’s votes and views are more extreme and outlandish than Trump’s.
Donald Trump and Ted Cruz have solidified their positions atop the Republican presidential pack, but their success doesn’t bode well for the Republican Party’s chances of reclaiming the White House, according to a new poll. On Fox News on Sunday, he called Cruz a “bit of a maniac” whose gift for alienating Senate colleagues shows he’d be ineffective as president.
Most establishment Republicans have been drawn to the half-dozen candidates who come from that wing of the party, especially Florida Sen. Cruz has not responded to the allegation, but Trump suggested a confrontation isn’t far off.
“I don’t think he has the right temperament”, Trump added, raising questions about how Cruz had conducted himself in the U.S. Senate.
Billionaire Donald Trump, who until last week had a comfortable lead over Cruz, came in second at 21 percent. We need to aim higher than just trying to meet deadlines.
Trump is also a supporter of universal health care, if not Obamacare.
“How can we let these people in our country until we vet them properly?” He’s also within 5 points of Trump nationally.
Her margin against Trump would be 50 percent to his 40 percent. When asked their opinion of Trump, 60 percent indicated a favorable opinion, but they are evenly split between Trump (26 percent) and Carson (25 percent) when asked who they would select as their second choice.
Cruz’s campaign has energetically targeted Iowa, attempting to reach voters in all of the state’s 99 counties. No one expects Cruz to do well in New Hampshire on February 9 – so he can’t lose the expectations game there.
Cruz is a mismatch there compared to the Deep South and Iowa; New Hampshire is overwhelmingly secular. Both will help in turning out evangelical voters in the state. Marco Rubio, at 10 percent.
Last week, Cruz privately warned donors in NY to think twice before entrusting the tempestuous front-runner with a nuclear arsenal.

A new Des Moines Register/Bloomberg poll shows that 48% of the likely participants in the state’s February 1 Democratic caucuses now plan to vote for Clinton. He remains the top contender for the presidential nomination among the Republican candidates.
