Donald Trump and Megyn Kelly sat down together for the first time since their infamous feud began, taking the opportunity to clear the air.

Trump attacked Kelly after the first Republican debate when Kelly questioned his derogatory statements about the appearance of women.

“Ooh, OK, excuse me”, he said. And while there’s no doubt Kelly’s has become a household name this election season, she’s adamant that Trump isn’t cause of her success. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and a glamorous one of his super-model wife.

Donald Trump doesn’t think his retweet of someone calling Megyn Kelly a “bimbo” was that bad – he says she’s probably “been called a lot worse.”

Megyn Kelly has grilled the GOP front-runner over the past few months, drawing the billionaire candidate’s ire on Twitter.

Cohen asked her if Bill O’Reilly ever said anything to her about it. Kelly said he hadn’t, but pointing out the fact that they work different hours so she never sees him. You make a mistake, you go forward. “And I’m saying to myself, ‘Man, what a question'”.

On Twitter, where he was live-tweeting his viewing, Trump declared himself satisfied, calling the interview a “happily ever after” in one tweet and thanking Kelly for the opportunity in another. Kelly has not been shy about the objective of the special: With Barbara Walters retired, she has said that she hopes to fill the vacuum of the prime-time host conducting the must-watch interview. “That was the hardest thing for me to take”, he said of his brother’s death.

Kelly also addressed her upcoming contract renegotiation and whether she will choose to stay at FOX News.

“It could happen when you’re 45”, Kelly hinted, alluding to the feud between the two. “I think she’s highly overrated”. “I don’t think I want to discuss what the regrets are but absolutely I could’ve done certain things differently”, Trump said. But the interview did contain some awkward, tense moments, she said, that will have people on the edges of their seats.
