Donald Trump to Deliver Speech in Austin
A quick stop in Texas to raise money for a campaign is very common, but hosting a rally in the Lone Star State just 11 weeks out from the general election is not.

More chants of Dump Trump from protesters. “He’s going to win Texas by a lot”, he said. “It’s a good crossroads”.
But in a statement Tuesday morning, Trump senior communications adviser Jason Miller seemed to return to the hard-line rhetoric on immigration that fueled the NY real estate mogul’s outsider campaign and capture of the GOP nomination.
Trump also plans to tape a segment for Fox News while here, with an interview at downtown’s Moody Theater scheduled with television host Sean Hannity.
The focus of at least some of Trump’s events appears to be border security and immigration.
In a recent television appearance, when Campaign Manager Kellyanne Conway was asked if Trump would create a deportation force to forcibly remove 11 million undocumented immigrants from the country, Conway said that this was “to be determined.”
“Texas is going to vote for the Republican candidate for president, no matter what happens”, Political consultant Mark Nathan said. Giuliani was on the stump for Trump on Monday in OH, where he introduced the nominee at an Akron rally.
“We will explore every single option that exists, whether it be persuading him to resign, trying to force him to resign, constraining his power, removing his ability to spend money or resisting any attempt for him to access data or our social media account”, said Travis County Republican vice-chair Matt Mackowiak to the Texas Tribune when Morrow was elected. Former Gov. Rick Perry adjusted his schedule to attend the Austin fundraiser.
All eyes are now on Texas to see what the GOP nominee says next.
Shortly after that communique, Ben and Mose took to Facebook Live to talk to some Trump-supporting attendees. The nominee’s son, Donald Trump Jr., is listed as a special guest.
Trump’s visit comes on the heels of polls showing him leading Clinton in Texas by narrower margins than usual for a GOP nominee. Trump had only a 6-percentage-point advantage over Clinton, 44 percent to 38 percent, in a survey released last week by the Democratic-leaning firm Public Policy Polling.
While Trump does have upcoming events planned in OH and Virginia, he will also hold a rally the day after Austin in Jackson, Miss.
Despite the GOP’s grip on Texas, the state party is hardly monolithic. He was escorted from the grounds after carrying a sign reading “Trump is a child rapist”.

“The Donald is in Cowtown, unfortunately”, said U.S. Rep. Marc Veasey, D-Fort Worth, during a press conference Monday. Hurd is not now supporting Trump but not ruling out getting behind him before Election Day. “Texans need less reality television from their congressman, and more real answers”.
