Donald Trump to Hillary Clinton: ‘No more Mr. Nice Guy’

“We are not against you – we are against hateful rhetoric; we are against language that divides”, the crowd shouted as hundreds of Trump supporters filed past them on the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs campus.

A supporter of US Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump holds up a sign while waiting for Trump to speak during a town hall address at Gallogly Events Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado on July 29, 2016.

“Much of what Trump says is against our statement of inclusion”, said Huber, who teaches geography and environmental studies at UCCS. But he started his remarks angry about a much more local opponent: the local fire marshal he said was keeping too many people out of the room.

Rally-goers passed several dozen protesters on their way into the venue and there were some dueling chants.

But there may be another explanation for the overcrowding that led some to be left out of the event.

Even if the skills required of a business tycoon were identical to those required in foreign policy negotiations, Trump’s business record makes it very clear that he has been wrong about quite a lot..

Mr Trump also reiterated his campaign promises of building a wall on the US-Mexico border, restricting refugees and bringing manufacturing jobs back to the country.

The state Republican Party awarded all of its delegates to Ted Cruz at the April state convention.

And as to Trump’s ongoing issues with establishment Colorado Republicans who shunned him at the state’s convention and largely voted for Sen.

“He’s probably a Democrat”, Trump said.

Trump also claimed that Bernie Sanders “sold his soul to the devil” in deciding to support Hillary Clinton for president, and that Sanders “folded” when he abandoned his quest for the Democratic presidential nomination.

But it was Clinton who received the brunt of his anger.

“I’m running against a crooked person; I’m running against a dishonest person”, Trump said. “How do you lie to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and now you’re running for president?”

The crowd then erupted in chants of, “Lock her up”.

Trump, of course, has given Clinton no such congratulations himself.

Late in the night Trump tweeted that Clinton should not be given a national security briefing.

“My biggest concern is the well-being of my fellow veterans and current servicemen and women”, said Staff Sgt. Michael Perez of Colorado Springs, who served in the Army and was deployed twice overseas.

The candidate promised to return so often that his supporters get sick of him.

Among the 100 or so protesters at the event, several held the US flag, and in some cases, joined in on chants of “USA, USA, USA!” as well.

“It’s unfortunate”, Trump told the crowd, “But it’s not my fault”. “We all need to understand, like I keep telling everybody, this is not about black America, white America or brown America. This is about the United States of America, and all lives matter!”

Beyond the hospital Trump had little specific to say about Colorado issues at the rally; outside he waded into the controversy over local control when it comes to fracking bans – he told 9 News reporter Brandon Rittman “if a municipality or state wants to ban fracking, I can understand that”. “So I started imitating somebody.that was groveling”, Trump said Friday. “And they’re false”, Trump said. “They like to divide us by race, they like to divide us by religion, by age, by sex – by every possible way they can”.
