Donald Trump to host SNL despite advocacy group protests
Billionaire tycoon and would-be USA president Donald Trump was heckled and called a racist during his opening monologue as he guest-hosted Saturday Night Live.

“According to NBC, SNL had a whopping 6.6 household rating on Saturday night, easily beating the season’s previous high…In fact, Trump’s overnight rating was 47 percent higher than the Miley/Hillary episode”, Entertainment Weekly wrote. Despite the dislike for the presidential candidate, the episode he hosted in received even higher ratings than the show’s season premiere with Hillary Clinton, another presidential candidate, hosted. They still have to show that they are bona fide candidates within the state in which “Saturday Night Live” was broadcast, and NBC doesn’t necessarily have to give them time within the same program. Why are you hosting “Saturday Night Live”? However, as it turns out, there are a few twists in the controversial TV guesting.
That’s not to say no one will be going home with the prize money as Larry David was in attendance and supplied a few unexpected comedy relief as he himself stood up and interrupted the former “Celebrity Apprentice” host. I heard if I yelled that theyd give me $5,000, David said.
Other outlets, like The Hollywood Reporter, were a bit more harsh in appraising Trump’s performance, saying that the candidate’s gig was “toothless” and “uncomfortable”.
“As a businessman”, Trump said, “I can fully respect that”. Latino group Deport Racism offered a $5,000 reward for any audience member that called Trump a racist.
Before his hosting appearance Saturday night on Saturday Night Live, Donald Trump promised that he would deliver big ratings.
From appearing alongside two lookalikes who have comically played Trump in “SNL” sketches, to covering Drake’s “Hotline Bling” video, the White House contender enjoyed his time on the show.

“SNL” had an extremely strong 11.7 rating at 11:30 p.m. on Channel 2, but quickly fell to a still strong 9.5 after 15 minutes.
