Trump did not directly respond to Clinton’s critique Thursday.

While Trump supporters claimed Lauer disrespected their candidate, other viewers said the host repeatedly interrupted Clinton and never once interrupted Trump. “She referred to those people as ‘irredeemable, ‘” Pence said. She also touted the support of numerous Republican national security experts that have chosen to endorse her candidacy, helping bolster her case that Trump is broadly unacceptable.

“The generals under Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have not been successful”.

In a rare press conference, she said on Thursday morning: “That’s how he talks about distinguished men and women who’ve spent their lives serving our country, sacrificing for us”. For months she has said she is sorry that she made a mistake – and then in the next breath adds she did nothing wrong.

That assertion is contradicted by an interview Trump did with Howard Stern in September 2002 in which he was asked whether he supported the invasion.
