Donald Trump up with first campaign ads

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump released his first series of radio ads Thursday morning, marking the first time the billionaire has paid for advertising since stepping into the presidential race in June.

The first two spots, radio ads set to air in the early primary states, tout Trump’s business experience, slam politicians as “all talk and no action” and play up Trump’s pledge to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Trump himself delivers a similar message in the second ad, one geared toward the Iowa contest. “They will never make our country great again”. And he says if Iowans vote for him, they will not be disappointed.

During his speech announcing his presidential bid, Trump declared that most Mexicans are criminals and rapists. The ad continues to lay out Trump’s immigration policies and defense agenda, promising that the GOP contender “will protect Israel, and brutally and quickly cut the head off of ISIS”. The ad buy will cost the campaign $300,000.

“Donald Trump learned the values of hard work, determination and faith at an early age.

When Donald Trump says he plans to deport 11 million people, he’s not making a joke, he’s being Donald Trump and he’s saying what he want to do with people like myself”, says Juan Escalante, a digital campaigns manager for America’s Voice.

Trump also appeared in a phone interview on MSNBC after the ads made their debut on the television network.
