Donald Trump vows to promote ‘merry Christmas’ greeting, suggests boycott of

Starbucks is pushing back against suggestions stoked by Republican presidential contender Donald Trump that this year’s minimalist design for its holiday cups is a slap at Christmas.

Former Pastor/person-who-doesn’t-account-for-where-the-donations-he-recieves-go Joshua Feuerstein has been among the leaders of the fight against Starbucks, claiming that the cups take “Christ” out of “Christmas”.

This year Starbucks has chose to have their Christmas cups just red, as opposed to using symbols of Santa, Jesus, bells, holly or any other Yuletide imagery.

The cup arrives during a time that a few would consider to be ‘perfect.’ Their release comes after a Facebook video sent out an alert that Starbucks removed its elaborate Christmas decor. “I don’t know. Seriously, I don’t care”, Trump said at a campaign rally. “Maybe we should boycott Starbucks”.

“I don’t remember Starbucks ever being a Christian company, do you?“. Now, Dunkin’ Donuts has created its seasonal cup and the internet is beginning to notice. “They used one small group’s opinion about the cups and began attributing it to the greater Christian community”.

On November 1, Starbucks debuted a plain red cup that had no mention of the holidays or Christmas. He adds, “In the past, we have told stories with our holiday cups designs”, said Fields. He said the country would say “merry Christmas” rather than “Happy Holidays” if he is elected.

“In the past, we have told stories with our holiday cups designs”.

Starbucks hasn’t officially responded to the Dunkin’ Donuts holiday coffee cup, but they are standing firmly behind their own.

Trump said if he becomes president, “we’re all going to be saying Merry Christmas again”. This year’s design is simplistic: a gradient from bright red to dark cranberry, with no patterns or designs, yet it seems to be the most controversial topic in the news recently.
