Up to now, May has refused to pin down a specific date to trigger the article 50, saying that her government needs time to prepare for negotiations.
Mr Tusk said the Taoiseach would be the first leader who he will brief after the meeting with Ms May tomorrow.
But today the Prime Minister’s official spokeswoman put some distance between May and her minister charged with Brexit negotiations.

“Britain could be a beacon for free trade across the world and a more glorious country with an immigration system that controlled the numbers but also encouraged the brightest and best to come”, he said.
After May rejected a “points based” system for immigration, her Brexit minister, David Davis, moved to ease concerns in his party by saying that reducing the flow of migrants was a top priority for a government conscious that many who voted to leave the European Union on June 23 did so because of immigration fears.
