Donor pays off $106K in shoppers’ layaways at 2 Ohio stores
Christy Evans, manager at the Walmart store says she has never seen or heard of anything quite like this.

A man has paid off more than $106,000 in shoppers’ layaways at two Wal-Mart stores in northeast Ohio.
As if that wasn’t generous enough, the same mystery donor paid $36,000 in layaway bills at the Walmart on Leavitt Rd.in Lorain.
A second donor paid the $79,000 tab at a Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania store on Monday, WCHS TV reports. Items on layaway contained playthings, 70-inch televisions and even a pair of socks.

“When I got to meet Santa yesterday, he had those rosy cheeks and he had the white beard, so I’m going to say Santa is real”, Myers said. “It’s wonderful someone would have this much compassion during the Christmas season to help us”. Customer Cathie Cromwell, who learned her layaway items were paid via phone, said the generosity moved her to tears. “To help people who maybe wouldn’t have had Christmas”.
