Dorial Green-Beckham doesn’t know why the Titans traded him

It did not take Dorial Green-Beckham long to begin the next phase of his fledgling National Football League career.

Dorial Green-Beckham arrived at Heinz Field early Thursday afternoon.

Thursday was another game without Jordan Matthews, recovering from the knee injury inflicted upon him in practice by Jalen Mills, and the results from the wideout corps looked maybe a little teensy-tiny bit better this time, if you squinted and crossed your fingers. “I have a new family to be around”.

He said he’s already friends with Green-Beckham – the two worked out together in Arizona this past offseason.

“When you bring guys in who are a lot older, it’s sometimes harder, because they have their own way, and so it’s like, ‘OK, now were they a leader at another place, or whether they slacked off at another pace, whatever it may be, ‘” Matthews said. I thought those were both really good tonight.

The first-team offense totalled 3 points.

Two passes were thrown to Green-Beckham, including a fade before Kenjon Barner, in the third quarter, scored the only offensive touchdown of the night.

“We had a chance to take a shot with him in the end zone, but we didn’t get the touchdown there”, Pederson said. “That tells me I’ve been doing the right thing”.

“I feel like being in this offense, I can catch a lot of balls, score a lot of touchdowns, being that my teammates will have my back and being there to fight for those guys”, Green-Beckham said.

Green-Beckham was also targeted once more in the fourth quarter but dropped a catchable pass from McLeod Bethel-Thompson. Agholor caught 23 passes for 283 yards as a rookie and failed to generate much positive buzz last season in part because of up-and-down play.

Green-Beckham started five games for the Titans last season as a rookie after they drafted him in the second round.

There are still three more preseason games for the candidates to make an impression on the coaching staff. “The biggest think for a kicker is not to think about it, just go out there and kick”.

“Leave it up to me”, Green-Beckham said of the ball being under thrown, “and I’ll come down with it”. “He’s a kind-hearted kid, and he has the right intentions”.

The Eagles are hoping it can be a new start for Green-Beckham, who has yet to reach his potential as the elite receiver many feel he has the skill set to be.

Carolina led Tennessee 19-10 with 1:34 left in the third quarter Saturday when an announcement came over the Nissan Stadium loudspeaker that lightning in the Nashville area had forced a delay, causing both teams to head into the locker room while the stands emptied.

The newest Eagles wide receiver admitted that there were some issues while he was in Tennessee but that it’s a thing of the past now.

Mariota is 14 of 15 through two preseason games. He went on injured reserve and missed the rest of the season. “It’s (happened to us) in the past as well”. People go through worse things in life than having to switch teams and move to a new city.
