Dortmund says Henrikh Mkhitaryan sold to Man United
United are expected to announce the deal shortly, meaning the playmaker will become their third signing of the Jose Mourinho era, following the deals of Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Mkhitaryan had a year left on his contract with Dortmund, but the German side have accepted the offer from United despite appearing to be far from happy about the situation.
Manchester United have agreed a £26 million deal to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The 27-year-old will also need to obtain a work permit before the transfer is ratified by the Premier League.
Dortmund confirmed the move on their website on Saturday, revealing that the Armenia global expressed his wish to join United in “intensive discussions” with the Bundesliga club. Robert Lewandowski and Mario Gotze both joined rivals Bayern Munich, and it looks like Mats Hummels could be on his way there too in due course.
He is excited about joining the Red Devils and saluted Jose Mourinho for placing trust in him by taking him to Manchester United.
Mkhitaryan is arguably the most significant departure, as he was at the crux of so many brilliant displays turned in by the team last season.
He has experience on the wings, and Lord knows United have really failed lately in their transfer buys when it comes to winger, so depth is definitely needed at that position.
United have turned to the 53-year-old after parting company with Louis van Gaal at the end of last season. “In addition, we would have postponed the personnel issue for one year”, Dortmund’ s CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke said.

“I was surprised that “Micki” chose to make the move after all”, said the defender.
