Dorus de Vries: Celtic sign Dutch keeper from Nottingham Forest
This is a fairly amusing tale from Brendan Rodgers, the Celtic boss who managed Liverpool between 2012 and late 2015.

“Dorus is one that I obviously know very, very well from my time at Swansea”, Rodgers told Sky Sports after the 2-0 defeat to Inter Milan in the International Champions Cup.
Nottingham Forest were dealt a blow yesterday as last season’s Player of the Year Dorus De Vries moved closer to securing a move to Celtic.
“I’ve been really, really disappointed twice in my career when I’ve lost players”, Rodgers began, reported by the South Wales Evening Post.
Rodgers is not done with his business in the transfer market as of yet though and now according to reports, Celtic are on the verge of completing another signing in the form of Dorus De Vries from Nottingham Forest.
“He comes into what is already a good number of keepers here and his game is perfectly suited to how I want to work”.
In a statement on Forest’s official website, he wrote: “I would like to thank the Forest fans for all their support since I joined the club three years ago”.

‘He can distribute, pass the ball and Dorus is as good as I’ve seen in all my travels’.
