Double boost for Arsenal after negotiations progress

Alexis Sanchez equalized late on as Arsenal came away from Paris with a precious point despite being second best for much of the game.

Ozil has overcome inconsistency to become Arsene Wenger’s main creative talent in the final third and ended last season on top of the assists table, providing 19 in the Premier League alone.

Attack: Olivier Giroud is pushing to make his first start of the new season after regaining full match fitness and I expect he’ll lead the line up front meaning Lucas Perez may have to make do with a place on the bench.

The duo’s current deals both expire in 2018 and the Gunners are keen to hand long-term extensions to both players.

Petr Cech is almost certain to keep his place in goal ahead of David Ospina.

World Cup winner Ozil is expected to earn wages in excess of £200,000-a-week in his fresh deal whilst Sanchez will settle on an £180,000 weekly package to prolong his Gunners stay.

Alexis has also been rumoured to be unhappy, with newspapers trying to spin his words into strong negatives, but the Chilean is also said to now be close to signing his future to our beloved club, and hopefully he will start to repay the fans faith in him with some of the star performances we have come to get used to from our star forward. Mohamed Elneny and Francis Coquelin will be pushing for starts but it’s difficult to leave Cazorla out.
