Investigators followed the trail of blood to the front of the Glendale courthouse, where a man in his 40s was dead with multiple stab wounds, William said.

He appeared to have several stab wounds, and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to William.

A second victim was later found stabbed to death outside the courthouse, located about a block away from the police station. The injured man was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive.

Police have yet to interview the injured man, but at this time do not believe any third person was involved. Police say the dead man matches the description.

A knife was recovered, the station reported. According to Glendale police, the incident occurred shortly before 2 a.m.at Broadway and Isabel Street near the Glendale Civic Center. The names of the men have yet to be released. Those with emergencies will still be able to access a portion of the police station, though it’s not clear whether the courthouse will be open at any point today.
