Downton Abbey producers give away spoiler with wedding blunder

According to the Daily Mirror a member of the public has discovered a forgotten prop in a church used to film the final episode of Downton, which might hold the key!

The copy revealed the names of the presumably happy couple, along with their vows, prayer and hymns.

Talking about the marriage, the source said that the cast and crew have gone to great lengths to hide the storylines for the sixth and final series but their stupid mistake has opened up all their secrets.

‘As it’s the last one, there are going to be a few absolutely massive plot lines. It’s a chance for them to enjoy a small, personal affair, and one that actually gets them to dress up in something that is not their typical attire.

The blushing bride in question is none other than Lady Edith Crawley, who will marry a man named in the prop as “Herbert”.

“There are lots of wedding bells in series six – but I can’t tell you who for – because the whole point is to watch the program isn’t it – you wouldn’t watch a football match if you knew it was 2-0 to Arsenal at the end of it”.

Herbert could refer to Bertie Pelham who appeared in the Christmas special.

Played by Harry Hadden-Paton, he is the agent of Brancaster Castle in Northumberland, and the third cousin of Lord Hexam.

Now we already know that there is at least one wedding on the cards, as since the show has been back on our screens we have been watching Mr Carson (Jim Carter) and Mrs Hughes (Phyllis Logan) planning their upcoming nuptials, but this particular order of service is for another wedding altogether…
